Dividend Aristocrats for Week Ending February 14, 2014: Sigma-Aldrich Increases Dividend for 38th Year

Four Aristocrats announced quarterly dividends this week, including one that announced an increase from the prior quarter. Life sciences company Sigma-Aldrich Corporation (SIAL) announced a 7% increase in their quarterly dividend, from 21.5 cents to 23 cents.  This is Sigma-Aldrich's 38 consecutive year of dividend increases.  The new payout will be paid on March 14th to shareholders of record on February 28th.  At its current price, the higher payout increases Sigma-Aldrich's yield to 0.95%. Dividend Aristocrats for Week Ending February 7, 2014: Aflac and Bemis Increase Quarterly Dividends

Five Dividend Aristocrats announced dividend events this week, including Aflac and Bemis Company which announced increases. Dividend Aristocrats for Week Ending January 31, 2014: 5 Payouts Plus 3 Dividend Increases

This week 8 Dividend Aristocrats announced their quarterly payouts, with 3 of them announcing dividend increases.  The three that announced dividend increases were: Insurer Cincinnati Financial (CINF) increased their quarterly dividend by 4.8% from 42 to 44 cents per share.  The increased dividend is payable on April 15th to shareholders of record on March 19th.  In the past, CINF has increased their regular dividend in the October payout, so this represents an acceleration of the usual dividend Read more [...]

Dividend Aristocrats for Week Ending January 24, 2014: ADP, Brown Forman Declare Regular Dividends

This week saw two Dividend Aristocrats declare regular quarterly dividends: Automatic Data Processing (ADP) declared a quarterly dividend of 48 cents payable April 1st to shareholders of record on  March 14th.  This is the 2nd quarter with the dividend at this rate after ADP increased their dividend by 10% beginning in early January 2014.  ADP has increased dividends for 39 consecutive years and currently yields 2.49%. Dividend Aristocrats for Week Ending Jan 17, 2014: FDO Increases Dividend 19%

This week four Dividend Aristocrats declared quarterly dividends, with two announcing year-over-year increases: Family Dollar (FDO) raised their quarterly dividend from 26 to 31 cents, an increase of over 19.2%.  This year's 5 cent increase follows 3 cent and 5 cent increases at the beginning of 2012 and 2013, respectively, which represented increases of 16.7% and 23.8%.  FDO stated that the higher dividend would be paid at the next regular payout, but did not announce when that would be.  If Read more [...]
